I joined the Coventry Writers' Group over Ten years ago and have gained valueble infomation in the art of Writing. I also found It a great place to meet like minded people.
The group provides encouraging atmosphere. Its a place to learn, tackle some exercises and experiment with writing that is 'ongoing' for particular individuals. It has taken me years and many trashed folders of work to find a niche that can be pursued with passion and some acquired 'know-how'! Often the frustration about writing is having the courage to drop your treasured assumptions.

I have been published twice in "Raw Edge" magazine and have had several of my works on radio. I am the winner of the George Eliot cup for 2007/8
